Refund Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
This policy explains when a refund, course transfer, or course credit may be available after purchasing an online course from Advanced Learning Online Education (ALOE).
General Overview
ALOE courses are digital educational services. Course access may begin shortly after a successful purchase and may include lessons, written materials, audio, interactive activities, knowledge checks, quizzes, and a certificate after successful completion.
Because digital course content can be accessed immediately, refund eligibility may depend on:
- When the refund request is submitted
- Whether the course has been accessed
- How much of the course has been completed
- Whether a certificate has been issued
- Whether completion has been reported to TDLR
- The reason for the request
Nothing in this policy limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.
Course Access and Completion Deadlines
Any course-access period or expiration date will be shown on the applicable course page, during enrollment, or in the learner’s account.
Students are responsible for reviewing the available access period and completing the course before:
- The stated course-access period ends
- The student’s license-renewal deadline
- A deadline imposed by TDLR or another applicable authority
A missed personal renewal deadline does not automatically qualify a purchase for a refund.
When a Refund May Be Considered
A refund may be considered in the circumstances below. A request does not guarantee approval.
Course Not Accessed
If no lessons or modules have been accessed and the request is submitted within seven days of purchase, ALOE may approve a refund of the course price.
Less Than 50% Completed
If less than 50% of the course has been completed and the request is submitted within 30 days of purchase, ALOE may consider a partial refund, course credit, or transfer.
Verified ALOE-Side Issue
If a verified problem with an ALOE-controlled service prevents course access or completion and cannot be resolved within a reasonable period, ALOE may provide a refund, transfer, or course credit.
Course Discontinued by ALOE
If ALOE permanently discontinues a purchased course before the student can complete it, ALOE may provide a refund, transfer, or credit toward another course.
ALOE may review course-access records, completed lessons, course progress, certificates, and reporting status when evaluating a request.
Wrong Course or Course Format
Contact ALOE promptly if you accidentally select:
- The four-hour course instead of the two-hour course, or the two-hour course instead of the four-hour course
- A course for the wrong profession or license type
- The Interactive Course instead of the Audio & Reading Course, or the Audio & Reading Course instead of the Interactive Course
If the course has not been substantially used, ALOE may transfer the enrollment to an appropriate course or format. A price difference may be charged or refunded when applicable.
The Interactive Course and Audio & Reading Course are separate enrollments. Reading, listening, or combining both are ways of completing the same Audio & Reading Course.
Duplicate Purchases or Charges
Contact ALOE promptly if you accidentally purchase the same course more than once or believe the same transaction was processed more than once.
After verifying the transactions, ALOE may reverse an eligible duplicate charge or provide another appropriate resolution.
Generally Non-Refundable Situations
Unless required by applicable law or approved by ALOE due to unusual circumstances, a refund generally will not be provided when:
- 50% or more of the course has been completed
- A certificate of completion has been issued
- Course completion has been reported to TDLR
- The student did not complete the course before a personal license-renewal deadline
- The student did not complete the course during the access period disclosed at purchase or in the learner account
- The student purchased a course that does not apply to their license after the applicable course information was clearly displayed
- Course access was suspended or terminated because of fraud, account sharing, false information, content copying, or another material violation of the Terms & Conditions
- The request is based solely on a change of mind after course materials were accessed
How to Request a Refund or Transfer
Submit your request by email or through the ALOE contact page. Include:
- Your full name
- The email address used for the purchase
- The course name
- The purchase date
- Your order or transaction number, if available
- Whether you are requesting a refund, course credit, or course transfer
- A brief explanation of the reason for the request
Submit a Request
Use “Refund or Course Transfer Request” as the subject of your message.
Review and Processing
ALOE will review the information provided, relevant purchase records, and available course-activity information. We may contact you if additional information is needed.
Approved refunds generally will be submitted to the original payment method within 30 days after written approval. The bank, card issuer, or payment provider may require additional time to post the credit.
When appropriate, ALOE may offer a course transfer or course credit instead of a monetary refund. You may accept or decline that alternative unless the resolution is otherwise required by law.
Payment-processing fees will be handled according to applicable law and the terms of the payment provider.
Applicable Law
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to waive a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.
If a provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory requirement of applicable law, the mandatory requirement will control and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
Changes to This Policy
ALOE may update this policy to reflect changes in our courses, purchasing process, technology, business practices, or legal obligations.
An updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Unless otherwise stated, the policy in effect on the purchase date will govern that purchase.
