Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: November 2025

Advanced Learning Online Education (“ALOE,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to providing accessible, inclusive online education for all students, including individuals with disabilities. This Accessibility Statement explains our approach, current measures, and how you can request additional accommodations.

1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

We aim to make our website and online courses usable by as many people as possible, including learners who use assistive technologies. Our goal is to align with widely recognized accessibility standards such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to the greatest extent practical for our platform.

Accessibility is an ongoing process for us. We regularly review and update our content, design, and technology to improve the learning experience for all students.

2. Website & Course Accessibility Features

ALOE uses structured content and design practices intended to support accessibility, including:

  • Clear headings and logical content structure
  • Readable fonts and high-contrast color palette where practical
  • Keyboard-navigable menus and buttons where supported by the theme
  • Descriptive link text where possible (not just “click here”)
  • Alt text or descriptive context for important images, when they convey meaning

Our courses are delivered through an online learning platform that supports common accessibility features used by modern browsers and devices.

3. ADA-Friendly Course Options

For many of our courses, we provide alternative or ADA-friendly formats designed to assist learners who may benefit from:

  • Text-based modules that can be read by screen readers
  • Audio or “podcast style” content where available
  • Structured transcripts or written summaries of key lessons
  • Responsive layouts for use on tablets and mobile devices

The availability of specific ADA-friendly options may vary by course. Where applicable, the course page will indicate if an alternative format is offered.

4. Third-Party Tools & Learning Platforms

Our courses are hosted and delivered using third-party technologies, which may include a learning management system (LMS), video hosting services, or payment processors. While we choose vendors that strive to support accessibility, their platforms and updates are not fully controlled by ALOE.

If you experience an accessibility issue that appears to be related to a third-party provider, please let us know. We will do our best to assist you and, when possible, work with the vendor to address the concern.

5. Known or Possible Limitations

Despite our efforts, some content or features may not yet be fully accessible in all situations. For example:

  • Certain legacy course materials may not follow current heading or contrast best practices
  • Some decorative or background images may not include alt text if they do not convey meaning
  • Third-party widgets or integrations may have their own accessibility constraints

We appreciate feedback from students and will prioritize fixes where they have the greatest impact on usability and learning.

6. Requesting Accessibility Accommodations

If you have a disability or accessibility need, we encourage you to contact us before or soon after you enroll so we can discuss reasonable accommodations. Examples may include:

  • Clarifying whether a specific course has an ADA-friendly format
  • Providing transcripts or written summaries when available
  • Offering guidance on using screen readers or keyboard navigation within the course layout
  • Discussing additional options if you encounter a barrier to access

While we cannot guarantee every requested accommodation, we will make good-faith efforts to support your learning needs within the scope of our platform and resources.

7. How to Report an Accessibility Issue

If you experience difficulty using our website or courses due to an accessibility concern, please contact us and provide:

  • The page or course title where you encountered the issue
  • The device, browser, and assistive technology you were using (if applicable)
  • A brief description of the problem

This information helps us understand, reproduce, and address the issue more effectively.

8. Ongoing Review & Improvement

Accessibility is not a one-time project. Advanced Learning Online Education reviews its courses and website over time, and may update layout, navigation, and content structures to improve usability for all students.

As new accessibility tools, standards, and best practices emerge, we may incorporate them into future design and course development.
