Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains when students are eligible for a refund after purchasing an online course from ALOE (Advanced Learning Online Education). By enrolling in a course on aloelearn.com, you agree to the terms described below, along with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. General Overview
Our courses are delivered online as digital educational products. When you purchase a course from Advanced Learning Online Education, you receive access to course materials, quizzes, and certificates of completion (when successfully finished).
Because digital content can be accessed immediately, our refund policy is designed to balance:
- our responsibility to students, and
- our responsibility to operate a sustainable education business.
Nothing in this policy is intended to waive any rights you may have under applicable Texas or federal law. To the extent the law imposes additional mandatory refund rights, we will comply with those requirements.
2. Course Access Window & Expiration
Unless otherwise stated on the course page, you will have access to your purchased course for 180 days (6 months) from the date of purchase.
- During this period, you may log in, complete lessons, take quizzes, and download your certificate.
- After 180 days, your access to the course may expire and you may need to re-enroll if you wish to complete it again.
It is your responsibility to complete the course within the access window and to verify that it meets any renewal deadlines required by your licensing agency.
3. Refund Eligibility
Because our courses are digital and available immediately after purchase, refunds are limited. A refund may be considered in the following situations:
-
3.1. Refund before course access
If you have not started the course (no lessons or modules accessed) and request a refund within 7 days of purchase, we may provide a refund of the course fee, less any non-refundable processing charges imposed by the payment processor. -
3.2. Partial completion
If you have started but completed less than 50% of the course, and your refund request is made within 30 days of purchase, we may, at our discretion, offer a partial refund or course credit. Requests will be evaluated based on:- how much of the course has been completed, and
- whether a certificate has already been issued.
-
3.3. Technical issues on our side
If you are unable to access or complete the course due to a verified technical issue on our side, and we are unable to resolve it within a reasonable time after you contact us, we may issue a refund or course credit. -
3.4. Course cancellation by ALOE
If Advanced Learning Online Education permanently discontinues a course that you have purchased and you are unable to complete it, we may provide a refund or credit toward another course.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
In general, refunds will not be granted in the following situations:
- You have completed 50% or more of the course content, or received a certificate of completion.
- Your course access has expired (for example, more than 180 days have passed since your purchase), and you did not complete the course within that time.
- You purchased the course but did not use it before your license renewal deadline or before any regulatory changes affecting course acceptance.
- You did not meet your state licensing agency’s requirements, even if you completed our course, where those requirements are outside our control.
- You were removed or blocked from the course due to serious violation of our Terms & Conditions (for example, fraud, sharing login credentials, or attempting to copy course content).
Because our courses are digital and accessible immediately, simply deciding not to take the course after purchase does not automatically entitle you to a refund.
5. Mistaken or Duplicate Purchases
If you accidentally purchase the same course more than once, or enroll in the wrong course and notify us promptly, we may:
- transfer your enrollment to the correct course, or
- issue a refund for the duplicate or mistaken purchase if the course has not been substantially used.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us using the information on our Contact page and include:
- Your full name
- The email address used for purchase and course login
- The course name or title
- The date of purchase
- A brief description of your situation and the reason for your request
We may also review your course activity (for example, modules completed and time spent) to determine whether you are eligible under this policy.
7. Refund Processing & Method
Approved refunds will generally be processed within 30 days of our written confirmation to you. Refunds will normally be issued to the original method of payment. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time for the credit to appear on your statement.
In some cases, we may offer the option of a course credit in place of a cash refund, which you can apply toward another ALOE course.
8. Compliance with Applicable Law
Advanced Learning Online Education aims to structure its refund practices in a way that is consistent with applicable Texas laws and regulations governing cosmetology and related professions. If any portion of this policy conflicts with a mandatory requirement of state or federal law, that legal requirement will control, and the rest of this policy will remain in effect.
9. Changes to This Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our courses, technology, or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
