What Changed?

Licensees Under 15 Years

Must complete 4 hours of CE every two years:

  • 1 hour Sanitation
  • 1 hour Human Trafficking Prevention
  • 2 hours Cosmetology or Barber-specific topics

Licensees 15+ Years

Must complete 2 hours of CE every two years:

  • 1 hour Sanitation
  • 1 hour Human Trafficking Prevention

How This Affects You

These changes apply to everyone renewing after September 1, 2025.

  • If you’ve been licensed under 15 years — You now need 4 hours of CE every two years, including 1 hour of Sanitation and 1 hour of Human Trafficking Prevention.
  • If you’ve been licensed 15 years or more — You now need 2 hours of CE every two years, including 1 hour of Sanitation and 1 hour of Human Trafficking Prevention.
